Holidays Abroad 2012

Carol asks…
Wheres the best holiday destination for teenagers to go?
Me and my friend want to go on holiday abroad in the year 2012
- it needs to be somewhere in Europe,
as we will only be 16 at the time we need someplace that doesn’t ask for ID, but someplace that has good weather and nightlife, also someplace that isn’t too expensive!
We were thinking Ibiza but have been told that they ask for ID and that it is quite dear,
We were also considering Turkey, but the Turkish men as a bit sleezy.
Would appreciate it if you gave us your opinions and thoughts of where would be best to go.
answers:
Faliraki is very popular, lively, nice beaches and very reasonably priced.

Donna asks…
Annual leave a year in advance?
My partner has been told by his employer that he has to book ALL of his holidays for thhe next year by the end of the week. Thats April 2011 – April 2012! We haven’t even thought about booking holidays abroad, never mind should any unexpected situations that require leave. I think this is a ridiculous demand. Is this allowed? How can we tackle this? (England residents)
answers:
You can’t tackle it, it’s not unreasonable for a company to plan in advance. The company has given you a holiday entitlement the least you can do is have the decency to tell them when you’d like to take it.
Most companies allow adjustments through the year in any case.

James asks…
Holiday destinations in europe for 16-18 year olds?
Me and a few of my friends are going abroad in May 2012 for my older sister’s 18th birthday with her friends also, we were just wondering if anyone knew any good holiday destinations for this age group? we were hoping to spend up to £450 per person on the holiday, thanks! (website links would be great) ps. Outside the UK only.
if anyone has been abroad at this age or has children that have went away at this age is there any tips that would help us also?
answers:
Well… For that age group, I would say you should go to party cities. I live in Paris, so I’m going to be biased when I say go there. Since you’re planning so far in advance, the train/plane will be pretty cheap. But honestly, Spain is the real winner of party country in Europe.
